The Bad Boy,The Good Girl, and Me
Gem's a seventeen-year-old vlogger beginning her first year of college. Her parents want good grades. Her sorority wants perfection. Her one million followers want entertainment. It's a lot to juggle, and dropping the ball is her specialty.

At least it'll make a good video, right?
But the most complicated part? Finding herself stuck between a boy who's a bad decision and a girl who's too good for her. So what's a confused bisexual mess to do?
No, really. That's not a rhetorical question. She needs answers. Stat.

About this story
This serial was born out of my experience graduating from college into a global pandemic. I had too much time on my hands and no job prospects, so I sat down every day for six months of 2021 and wrote this story.
It's not about a pandemic though! It's a love letter to the nostalgia of college and remembering the real growing pains and hardships it entails along with many fictionalized dramatics for some good and proper escapism.

It's very much slice of life with silly and serious moments. One of the most light hearted stories I've ever written. It does discuss a lot of heavy topics though, such as alcoholism, cheating, body image issues, peer pressure, and other similar topics.

The story follows Gem through one year of college. The total word count is over 300,000, so although the story is written, I've been slowly editing it one episode at a time.
Watch my writing vlogs about this project!
While I was writing this project, I saw an opportunity to do active research about what it's like to be a youtuber, so I started filming writing vlogs. I learned a lot and had fun. I will continue making videos less frequently in the future to talk about specific projects, craft, and routine.
